Sure it sucks that some of you who splurged on the Motorola DROID RAZR HD or RAZR MAXX HD smartphones got shafted with Ice Cream Sandwich instead of Jelly Bean loaded up, but fear not— because the Jelly Bean is officially circulating in the wild… well sorta. The gang at DroidRzr found a mysterious software system build of version 9.1.39 which brings the Android OS to version 4.1.1 and as you can see, brings all the typical Jelly Bean goodies like Google Now.
Samsung Announces Galaxy S III mini For The UK
It seems like the UK is just getting all the good stuff lately, doesn’t it? Well Samsung continues to bring good things for the those of you living there and brings the intriguing Galaxy S III mini smartphone’s availability in the UK. This means those of you itching to grab that 4-inch, Jelly Bean-powered device will finally be able to grab the device on November 8th— meaning you will all be able to enjoy all the luxuries of Android 4.1. No word yet on which retailers will carry the device yet, but we suspect we’ll see that information surface as the day goes on.
Could Google’s new Gesture Typing keyboard show up as standalone app in Google Play Store?
Earlier today some folks discovered apk files for Google’s “Gesture Typing” keyboard. As you may recall, Gesture Typing is a new feature included in the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update. The new functionality provides an input method similar to Swype, letting users glide their fingers from letter to letter on the keyboard instead of having to tap the letters.
