Google Talk is the official instant messaging (IM) app from Google that allows you to quickly communicate with the rest of Gmail’s email users.

As with most apps of this kind, you can change your status from the main window so that your friends know when you are not available, busy, etc.

Plus, in settings, you can add several Gmail accounts and change from one to another, thus letting you talk to all the contacts from all your accounts.

One of its most interesting features is that it lets you make video calls directly from its interface. All you have to do is click on the camera icon next to the contact’s name.

Google Talk is an indispensable app for any Android terminal. In fact, it now usually comes already installed on almost all mobile phones that use the Android operating system. It is definitely the best IM tool for users with a Gmail account.
